Casual Connections: The Surface Level of Friendship

Casual friend ships require very little from either party, so they seldom have much depth and rarely any meaningful knowledge of each other. They are exactly what they say, casual. You recognize each other, call each other by name and exchange pleasantries. Often times these are social circle or work related, but seldom go beyond that. Sadly this happens in church settings. Sometimes something significant will be exchanged that changes the casual into a real friendship. We will speak about that wonder next time.
